Riga Student Council (RSD) is an advisory council of Riga’s secondary schools, who’s goal is to educate, connect and develop a set of skills for the youth of Riga’s schools. The Student Council of Riga has been working for 10 years and the growth in these past years is noticeable. The activities have also drawn and involved many supporters.
On February 9, 2009 the Support fund of Riga Student Council (Rīgas Skolēnu domes atbalsta fonds or RSD atbalsta fonds) was founded in order to regulate and ease the financial flow for the support of RSD.
On April 15, 2009 the commission of Social Good held a meeting in the Ministry of Finance Republic of Latvia, in which the commission supported the certification of the Social good status to the Support fund of RSD.
RSD is a group of active, creative and determined young people who turn their ideas into reality and fights against the passivity of youth with the biggest and most passionate dedication, trying to obtain the idea that the youth feels like a valuable part of the society that is able of making decisions.
